Compression Components for C++ Builder

ZipTV is the most comprehensive collection of compression related components for CodeGear C++ Builder 6, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 and XE.

It contains components for compression, decompression, search, error detection, password retrieval, self extracting archives, archive conversion and more.

What is ZipTV?

ZipTV is much more than a set of zip and unzip components.

ZipTV contains 11 components for compression and encoding, 16 components for decompression and decoding and 17 helper components to do archive conversion, SFX creation and more.

A few highlights:

  • One common interface to all supported archive formats
  • Compress data better than standard ZIP files using BZIP2 compression
  • Protect ZIP files with strong AES 128- and 256-bit encryption
  • Zip64 support (ZIP files larger than 4 GB)
  • Unicode file name support (*)
  • Create multi-volume ZIP files or split existing ZIP files onto volumes
  • Merge multi-volume ZIP files into one file

(*) Unicode is supported natively in BCB 2009 and newer, but requires the TNT unicode controls for BCB 6, 2006 and 2007.

Supported compression formats
